Konstantin Zenkin born in Moscow,1958. Graduated from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
From 1982 to 2002 Dr. Zenkin taught at the Central Music School of Moscow Conservatory. Since 1990 he has been teaching at the Subdepartment of the History of Foreign Music, Moscow Conservatory (Professor,2000). Vice Rector for Research since 2009, chief-editor of the research magazine “Nauchny Vestnik Moskovskoy Konservatorii”, a member of the Council of the Society for Theory of Music”.
Dr.Zenkin is an author of the books: “Chopin’s piano short pieces”, “Piano short pieces and ways of music Romanticism”, “Music – Eidos – Time. Aleksey Losev and horizons of contemporary music studies” and more than 130 papers on various aspects of music history, music philosophy and history of piano performance, participant in more than 300 international conferences |(Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Vologda, Rome, Rimini, Bordeaux, Krakow, Brno, Warsaw, Denton, Albena, Delft, Utrecht, Budapest, London, Berlin, Rostock, Hannover, Kiev, Minsk, Riga, Wilnius, Beijing, Astana, Giumri, Mulhouse, Cluj-Napoca, Nevel, Albena etc.)
