金平的管弦乐作品《森多玛》于2014年在国家大剧院首演；为小提琴、舞蹈和计算机而作的新媒体作品《小青》于2013年在上海国际电子音乐周首演；钢琴三重奏于2012年首演于维也纳；大型交互式新媒体装置《微澜》2012年在北京展出；3D交互式多媒体装置“The Travel of Mariko Horo”在美国西雅图艺术博物馆展出，并随后在日本和德国等地展出；新媒体舞蹈《大唐舞韵》在SIGGRAPH艺术展上演出。
Ping Jin (U.S.A)
Ping Jin is composition professor at China Conservatory and Director of Center for Computer Music. Prior to his return to China in 2008, he was a tenured professor and Director of the Theory and Composition Program at the State University of New York at New Paltz. He is on the board of Society for New Music, and served as its President from 1998 to 2002. He is Music Director for MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING, an international electronic music festival.
The recent performances of Ping Jin’s music include Simhavaktra Dakini, an orchestra work commissioned by Beijing Modern Music Festival and premiered at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in 2014. His interactive work A Reflection in the Brook, for a female dancer, solo violin and computer, was performed at Shanghai Concert Hall in 2013. His intermedia installation Ripples was presented at the Central Conservatory of Music in 2012 by the Beijing Modern Music Festival. His Piano Trio was premiered in Vienna in 2012 by the US based Trio Clavino.
Ping Jin was born in China. He studied composition at the Central Conservatory of Music. In 1990 he went to the United States to study composition at Syracuse University and the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, where he received his doctorate.
